If I like it, are there consequences?

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. 28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. (Romans 1:26-32)

Now reading this long text, is a loaded statement. Where could I go with such a vague subject? Well, recently I noticed a billboard on main st in my home town, showing just the breasts of a woman. It’s a radio station looking to get noticed. The picture is cut at her lower abdomen, and at her lips. So thankfully we don’t see the true identity of the woman.
The picture alone is shameful. Imagine the families that are trying to guard their children from this kind of perversion. And there it is, on Main St…..

This world could not be better described than by the text used. Every man/woman for himself/herself. If it feels good, do it. You can look, but you can’t touch. If it doesn’t hurt anyone, why is it wrong? Shouldn’t have to be married to have sex. We all have needs.
Can you think of a better text? Women keep wanting to be treated like women, like our equal. And then we see this picture. Blatantly exposing herself. Thank goodness she’s at least wearing a shirt. It’s tight, and draws attention, but it’s covered.
This world absolutely does not care how much it defiles you. It doesn’t care of the consequences. I went with a couple of brothers in Christ recently to hand out gospel tracts in a few trails in town here. While we were walking, we asked people that we met if they had a few minutes to talk. We introduced ourselves as Christians, and 2 that I can remember didn’t want us to talk any further. 1 humored us, and took the tract, while her husband was noticeably not impressed and was walking away. Then 2 of them gladly took the tracts, one group was 3 men jogging, and they told us if we can jog with them for a few minutes, they would take the tracts. We gladly did, a bit clumsy but they took the tracts and then another couple we met later, had a great conversation with us for about 15 minutes and gladly took the tracts, and even said they might correspond with us again.
But we saw on the front lines, how most people, have NO regard for Christ, God, or anything holy. It interferes with their life. They realize if we talk to them, they will have to be accountable for their sin.
Dear friend, I don’t want to bring you bad news, but I have to be truthful, if you have not yet trusted Christ as the bearer of your punishment….if you have not repented to the point of realizing you CAN’T get rid of your sin..you are in grave danger of a place called hell.
And it’s not on “oh, I don’t believe in that, so I am fine” that matters. You can argue with gravity till you are blue in the face. When you jump up, guess what, it wins.
The God of the bible, the One that created everything by speaking it into existence can do all things. But He CAN’T forgive you if you don’t believe in Christ. That is the ONLY way of salvation. And please realize, you are NOT an exception. Romans 3:23 says that we ALL fall short of the glory of God. There is NO exception.

I pray for each of my posts to reach out to one person, that you might see your sins as God sees it, not someone else, and that you repent of it, and that God stretches out His hand and saves you. Your eternity depends on it.
